Fugro is a global leader in geotechnical services, and they are seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform various laboratory tests on soil and rock samples. The role involves working independently and closely with a team to ensure the highest quality and safety standards in testing procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk

Perform laboratory tests on soil and rock samples as prescribed by the client to the highest level of safety and quality standards

Develop an understanding of whether test results are likely to pass peer review in terms of technical quality

Accurately and thoroughly record test data onto test worksheets

Calculation of laboratory test results using simple spreadsheets

Send reports for review before submission to the client

Calibration and checking of test instrumentation / equipment and maintenance of calibration records

Adhere to Fugro health and safety policies at all times

Follow all Fugro procedures and policies as required
