Responsibilities

Develop the next-generation of mobility by working on vehicle systems such as body safety structure, exterior aesthetic components, and electro-mechanisms, involving engineering design, validation, testing, and concept fabrication
Develop automated CNC part programming solutions by working collaboratively with Mechanical Prototype Engineering and Fabrication teams
Support design assessments, inspection and maintenance, tooling development, and repair procedure validation
Support simulation and validation tasks for mechanical sensor structures and define cleanability tests

Required

Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or other advanced degree in a relevant engineering field
Plan to return to school after completing the internship
Maintain good academic standing
Available to commit to either a 12-week summer internship (May or June 2026 start) or a 6-month co-op
At least one prior industry internship, co-op, or relevant project experience
Willing and able to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship
Foundational understanding of mechanical design principles such as: GD&T, prototyping, design-for-manufacturability (DFM), design-for-servicability (DFS), and design-for-assembly (DFA)
Experience with CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD software
Basic understanding of quality control, process optimization, and yield analysis
Ability to identify appropriate test assets, data acquisition systems, and perform data analysis

Preferred

FSAE/ Baja experience
Simulation/FEA coursework
