Human Resources Manager - Inks

They are seeking a dynamic HR Manager to serve as a strategic business partner within the global Inks business, providing both strategic guidance and day-to-day HR support for various teams.

Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with business/manufacturing leaders to understand business strategies and translate them into HR priorities
Provide coaching and guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, and change management
Partner with leadership to identify and develop high-potential talent and succession plans
Lead and support employee engagement initiatives, leveraging data and employee feedback to drive action planning
Act as a liaison and partner to HR teams within the US and around the world to ensure consistency and alignment across businesses, segments and regions
Engage in projects alongside HR Centers of Excellence to ensure programs and/or projects incorporate the business’ perspective and to drive seamless adoption in the organization upon completion
Manage employee lifecycle activities including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility
Support performance and talent management processes, including goal setting, career development conversations, and year-end evaluations
Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws; support investigations and employee relations matters
Support employee relations efforts by advising on conflict resolution, disciplinary action, attendance, and other policy-related matters
Maintain regular visibility on the production floor to build trust, ensure strong communication, and proactively address workforce issues
Monitor and analyze key workforce metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, engagement) to inform HR strategies and improve site performance
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) in HRIS, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Organizational Development to deliver seamless HR services
Maintain accurate and timely HR data and reporting through HRIS systems
Works with the Director, Human Resources and respective client groups to design organization structure, business process and systems that support their strategic goals
Works to create a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce
Guides managers in areas such as benefits, compensation, training, recruiting, workforce planning, conflict management, performance management, etc
Ensures that all policies and procedures are in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and are consistently administered
Responsible for operational human resource issues including job description development, hiring, retention, succession planning, legal compliance, termination reviews, transfers and communications
Oversees human resources responsibility for all assigned business unit teams and shared service functions
Implements short and long terms plans to ensure performance and innovation within Avient’s human resources department
Proactively suggests and promotes processes that have positive return on investment and deliver value to internal and external customers
Monitors key metrics (i.e. turnover, attendance, etc.) to assist the location and/or functional area in effectively managing their workforce to maximize productivity and overall effectiveness
Demonstrates solid business acumen and ability to make HR decisions that ensure a positive impact on the bottom line
Creates a motivational environment of accountability
Fosters teamwork at all levels and cross-functionally
Acts as a catalyst for change with the ability to positively influence others to make difficult decisions
Performs other projects as required by the business, functional unit and/or HR organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP responsibilities supporting both hourly and salaried clients, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and organizational development to provide compliant, best-in-class HR insights and support
Proven ability to communicate, influence, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels, including hourly employees and frontline leaders
Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated experience identifying gaps and recommending / implementing scalable solutions for HR processes
Strong ability to prioritize work with agility to adjust focus to higher priorities, as needed
Change agent skillset to drive implementation and adoption of new programs, processes, and support teams through change management
Experience supporting cross-functional teams
