Associate General Counsel, Director - Hyperscale Sales

They are seeking an Associate General Counsel, Director – Hyperscale Sales to provide strategic legal counsel on complex customer agreements and ensure compliance with internal policies while supporting high-value commercial transactions critical to the company's growth.

Responsibilities
Lead legal support for hyperscale customer negotiations, including data center leases, build-to-suit agreements, colocation agreements, and related amendments and renewals
Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Development, Operations, and Executive leadership to structure and negotiate transactions that align with business objectives
Manage outside counsel effectively when specialized expertise or additional resources are required
Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts with customers, vendors, and strategic partners
Ensure compliance with internal contract policies, approval processes, and risk management standards
Support vendor contracting related to hyperscale developments and operations, as needed
Identify opportunities to improve contracting efficiency, consistency, and scalability through templates, playbooks, and process enhancements
Stay current on industry trends and legal issues impacting hyperscale data center transactions and technology-driven commercial agreements
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
Six or more years of experience as a lawyer working in the areas of contract negotiation, real estate, lease negotiation, and/or corporate law
Hands-on, self-starter who is disciplined and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting that requires a highly accurate and timely work product
Excellent listening, written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn ERP systems
Excels in a team-oriented work environment
Strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving business environment
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), Box and DocuSign
Excellent analytical, time-management, judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Possess ambition and an optimistic attitude
Ability to manage competing priorities and demands on time
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
Able to take initiative with little direction
