Responsibilities

Serve as the University’s strategic lead for campus-wide utility infrastructure, energy and water systems, engineering compliance, and regulatory standards
Provide comprehensive leadership and oversight of the planning, operation, maintenance, and compliance of critical infrastructure systems, including the central plant, domestic and reclaimed water systems, fire/life safety infrastructure, and campus-wide utility distribution networks
Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of electricity, heating, cooling, and water services across the University
Manage internal skilled trades, direct external service providers, and maintain full regulatory alignment with local, state, and federal agencies
Serve as a key institutional liaison and collaborate extensively with campus departments and senior leadership to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions and ensure long-term operational resilience and regulatory alignment

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management
5 years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated experience in water system operations, including knowledge of the tasks, responsibilities, and compliance requirements typically associated with a water distribution operator
Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Possess and/or obtain and thereafter maintain a California Driver's License valid for the operation of any vehicle or equipment required to maintain and operate

Preferred

Understanding and experience of commercial kitchen equipment
Knowledge of work control systems such as MetaBIM and PeopleSoft
