Testing - Test Stand Operator

Jasper Engines & Transmissions is the nation's largest remanufacturer of gas and diesel engines and transmissions. They are seeking a Test Stand Operator who will be responsible for preparing transmissions for testing, monitoring their performance, and ensuring they meet quality standards during operation.

Responsibilities

Attaching all necessary tooling needed on a transmission to make it capable of running on the test stand

Using a hoist to lift and move transmissions on and off the test stand

Plugging in pressure hoses and adding oil to the transmission when attached to the test stand

Checking for abnormal noise, vibration, leaks while the unit is on the stand

Performing shifts and other steps as prompted by the computer

Verifying the unit passes all steps being checked by the computer

Removing all tooling from transmission and plugging openings with plastic and metal plugs that will be torqued using a torque wrench

Using cleaner and compressed air to clean all oil off unit

The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs

The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)

The ability to use handheld tools such as Torque wrench, Rubber mallet, Impact gun, Pliers/Vise grips, and a Hoist
