Responsibilities
Provides import/export support to site Import/Export Advisor by providing import/export administrative support per corporate policies and procedures and US government rules and regulations
Provides user support for export transactions and systems including problem resolution, customs queries, user issues and recommends/supports system changes
Determines level of access to site and communicates all information regarding visitors to hosts
Will be the main point of contact for visitor screening and compliance topics related to covering site security concerns such as CTPAT program compliance and foreign national access considerations
Provides ongoing operational support in resolving process/execution import/export issues with both internal and external customers
Responds to requests for support/service and develop processes to meet customer demands and ensure satisfaction
Provides necessary data for bid activity on import/export and transportation related costs
Monitors access to the site by screening through the Denied Party Listing to ensure compliance with all visitors
Conducts training to all users at the site on visitor request platform to ensure understanding and changes in guidelines
Qualification
Required
Two to four years relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
Good knowledge of electronics manufacturing environment, material and processes
Strong understanding and interpretation of customs rules and regulation regarding Import and Export Controls
Knowledge of basic computer applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications
Knowledge of US Customs import requirements including HTS classification and CTPAT, knowledge of Department of Commerce ECCN classifications and EAR Dangerous Goods requirements for import and export
Good understanding of internal and external customer requirements
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines
Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
