Site Technical Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee facility reliability to support safe and environmentally responsible production
Fully participate in site HSE initiatives including periodic audits
Participate in regulatory and internal audits as needed
Lead and develop Engineering (Reliability, Project, and DCS) team and Maintenance Supervision
Ensure team accountability for the development and execution of maintenance and project work plans
Ensure appropriate systems are in place for root cause identification and corrective action implementation to support a continuous reliability improvement culture
Ensure appropriate systems are in place for predictive and preventive maintenance
Manage departmental costs
Manage the site capital expenditure budget
Develop and monitor key performance indicators for maintenance and project functions
Represent Syensqo through daily actions that reinforce the corporate values demonstrating personal commitment to a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace for employees

Qualification

Mechanical EngineeringChemical EngineeringElectrical EngineeringSupervisory ExperienceHSE ComplianceUnion ManagementLeadership SkillsOrganizational SkillsProblem-Solving Capability

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or similar engineering; or equivalent technical degree
5-10 years' experience working in an industrial facility, preferably in a chemical process production plant with 3+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance, or process and/or project engineering
Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage, motivate, and develop personnel and to facilitate cooperation between departments
Must be able to interact positively and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Must have a high degree of initiative, influence, and problem-solving capability

Preferred

Unionized workforce management experience is a plus
