Information Governance & Policy Director

Responsibilities

Execute all administrative and personnel management functions related to the accomplishment of the assigned mission
Oversee the management and administration of processes and tools that enable the organization to identify, document, and access intellectual capital and information content
Provide oversight of the Record Information Management (RIM) program and the USCG Mail, ensuring adequate internal controls systems are operative
Develop and provide operational life-cycle data, management guidance, ensuring short- and long-term objectives are achieved to ensure maximum efficiency, economy and effectiveness of the Record and Information Management (RIM) program and the USCG Mail Program

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
Under provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act, first time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a one-year probationary period
To ensure the accomplishment of our mission, DHS requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy. To meet those standards, all selected applicants must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation. This position requires a Secret clearance
This is not a Bargaining Unit position
Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by the closing date of the vacancy
All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit
This position requires occasional travel away from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
The applicant is required to reside in the local commuting area to be eligible for consideration
Position requires FAC P/PM-I and FAC COR II Certification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work
Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level

Preferred

Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two (2) years of entry into the position
Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Level II within one (1) year of entry into the position
