Responsibilities
Lead and engage in the core functions of trade verification, settlement, collateral management, and exception processing, helping to mitigate operational and administrative risks
Maintain and enhance data accuracy, leveraging automation and technology to improve Treasury Settlement Services
Champion internal controls that safeguard corporate assets and uphold Schwab’s reputation for integrity and service excellence
Collaborate across teams and with external partners to ensure timely and accurate settlement of large cash and securities transactions
Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of trading and collateral management systems, contributing to Schwab’s commitment to innovation and client-centric solutions
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and technology, driving positive change for our clients and our team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics
5+ years in settlement operations (including derivatives) within broker/dealer or banking environments
Strong knowledge of custody/clearing best practices, collateral management (eligibility, margin, substitution), and asset-backed securities processing
Familiarity with derivatives (e.g., interest rate swaps) and related collateral requirements
Experience with trade order systems, Bloomberg, SWIFT, custodian platforms
Willingness to learn Treasury Management Systems, Nasdaq Calypso, Tableau, Alteryx
Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities
Keen attention to detail
Ability to multi-task under pressure while collaborating effectively
Preferred
Professional Treasury qualification (or in progress)
Corporate treasury/compliance experience
Proven success leading middle-office projects
