INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SECURITY)

The United States Air Force is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to work in the Wing Advanced Program Office. Responsibilities

Implements and administers the SAP information security program for the Advance Program Office (APO)
Assistant Administrator for Wing Advanced Programs local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN)
Implements the Advanced Programs Network Security Program
Provides customer technical assistance, training and support, both at home station and during deployed operations and exercises

Males must be registered for Selective Service
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Access Required and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Position is designated for drug testing
Consent to counterintelligence (CI) polygraphs and signature of non-disclosure agreements is a condition of employment
Must meet all requirements of Emergency Essential (E-E) positions
Must maintain medical, physical, and personal readiness to deploy
Must frequently travel TDY (over 90 days per year) CONUS and/or OCONUS
Must have, or obtain, and maintain a valid driver's license
Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment
Pre-employment physical examination is required
Employee is required to use a government computer and computer systems and programs such as Microsoft Office suite
Mobility is a condition of employment
Must have IT-related experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in relevant fields
Knowledge of a full range of IT principles, methods, regulations, policies, products and services sufficient to manage a classified security enclave
Knowledge of IT security requirements for certification and accreditation, network operations and protocols
Knowledge of Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program information
Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems
Skill in organizing and prioritizing work tasks
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately and effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships

This position is designated for drug testing. Incumbent will be subject to random testing for drug use.

This position is Emergency Essential (E-E). The incumbent of this position must meet all requirements of E-E positions.
All E-E employees must perform E-E duties during a crisis or after noncombatants evacuate. Failing to perform assigned E-E duties may result in disciplinary action against the incumbent up to and including removal from the Federal Service.
This position is world-wide deployable, in support of one or more wing unit type codes (UTCs).
Employee must maintain medical, physical, and personal readiness to deploy in support of world-wide taskings to both western and non-western areas of responsibility.
This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
