Assistant Program Director, Relocation Services

Responsibilities
Schedules and plans user moves along with coordinating all associated logistical activities with customers
Solicits and evaluates contractor proposals to provide moving services
Seeks the appropriate authorizing signatures to commit departmental or project funds to cover moving costs
Coordinates move schedules with project managers and general contractors for construction-related moves
Assures that the appropriate pre/post move activities are addressed
Coordinates building and elevator access issues with property management companies for any off-campus moves into leased property
Follows up with users to ensure appropriate arrangements have been made regarding move-related changes in signage, keys/locks, telephone and data connectivity
Develops box inventories and tracking systems where appropriate
Available during evenings and weekends to supervise moves
Provides information on changes in space utilization resulting from moves to the University’s space management staff for entry into the University’s Space Inventory System as necessary
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position
Ability to work evenings/weekends
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Strong project management, vendor coordination, communication, and customer service skills
