INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST - ALTERNATE HIRING AUTHORITY

The USAJOBS is seeking an Intelligence Specialist to provide cyber intelligence support to software development programs across acquisition and sustainment life cycles. Responsibilities

Provide Cyber Intelligence Analysis to DoD/USAF/USSF Acquisition programs, systems, and processes
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the development and execution of a complex and non-routine effort to assess cyber threats in support of DAF acquisition- and sustainment-focused software development operations
Serve as a multi-source Intelligence Specialist specializing in cyber threat and cybersecurity intelligence
Identify and address customer intelligence requirements and presents Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, products, and services throughout the DAF software enterprise in support of cyber resiliency

All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period
Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement
This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Must be registered for Selective Service
This position may require drug testing and the candidate may be subject to passing a drug test upon selection

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United
This is a Centrally Managed position under the Intelligence Career Field
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position
Examples of creditable experience include: serving as a multi-source intelligence analyst engaging in the complex technical research, analysis, interpretation, assessment, and production of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of life cycle management and customer requirements
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Extensive knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed cyber intelligence capabilities and cyber threat assessments, identify cyber-related intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customers cybersecurity requirements
Extensive knowledge of acquisition and sustainment policy and guidance, and the role cyber intelligence plays throughout a weapon system's life cycle; acquisition and sustainment intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of DAF research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises
Extensive knowledge of the intelligence cycle, intelligence policy and guidance, and the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations-particularly as it pertains to cyber threat intelligence collection, analysis, and production
Extensive knowledge of software development principles and processes as they relate to software development activities supporting acquisition and sustainment life cycles; to include an understanding of software development tools/systems and their associated vulnerabilities and susceptibility to insider or adversarial manipulation
Comprehensive skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of customers' cyber threat and cyber risk management needs
Expert skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes
Expert ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

Preferred

An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is desirable
