Community Associate
Brooklyn Community Board 3 represents the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant and is seeking a Full-Time Community Associate to assist with municipal service delivery and community issues. The role involves fielding communications, preparing for meetings, managing projects, and handling administrative tasks.
Government Relations Services
Responsibilities
Fielding phone calls and emails from city agencies, elected officials’ offices, and the public
Assisting with the preparation for general board and committee meetings
Working on projects that advance district service and quality of life goals, providing status reports
Constituent Services, responding and resolving constituent service requests
Manage website update, social media accounts, and board newsletter
General office administrative tasks, but not limited to filing, scheduling, general correspondence, drafting letters and promotional materials, and posting public notices
Qualification
Required
Associates Degree and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above
High school graduation with combined four years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' above
