Senior Level, Lead/StaffWestwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Lead Engineer to join their Power and Renewables teams. The successful applicant will manage and execute geotechnical investigations and designs related to renewable energy projects while mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities
Prepare proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations and related design work
Participate in geotechnical site investigations, assign geotechnical laboratory tests, analyze field and lab data, and prepare investigation reports
Interpret and analyze geotechnical data to establish type, classification and engineering characteristics of materials
Complete geotechnical engineering analyses including, but not limited to, bearing capacity, settlement, rotational stiffness, liquefaction, seepage, and slope stability
Manage, supervise, mentor, and train other geotechnical staff, along with fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team
Qualification
Required
Geotechnical Lead Engineer
Experience in managing and executing geotechnical investigations and design related to renewable energy projects, substations, transmission lines, battery storage, and other power-related projects
Ability to estimate project costs and prepare proposals for geotechnical investigations and related design work
Experience in participating in geotechnical site investigations and assigning geotechnical laboratory tests
Ability to analyze field and lab data and prepare investigation reports
Skill in interpreting and analyzing geotechnical data to establish type, classification and engineering characteristics of materials
Experience in completing geotechnical engineering analyses including bearing capacity, settlement, rotational stiffness, liquefaction, seepage, and slope stability
Experience in managing, supervising, mentoring, and training other geotechnical staff
Ability to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team
