Program Coordinator- Children Youth, Families and Teens

Arlington County Government is looking for a Program Coordinator to join their Department of Human Services within the Children’s Behavioral Health Bureau. Responsibilities

Serve as a central connector among County agencies, schools, youth, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders
Support the work of the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families (APCYF) and the Teen Network Board (TNB)
Build youth voice and support community-driven prevention initiatives
Foster culturally responsive, research-driven strategies to promote the wellbeing of children, youth, and families

Required

Experience in providing comprehensive mental health and substance use services
Ability to support children and youth to function adequately in their environments
Capacity to build caregiver capacity to support children and youth
Experience in community-focused coordination and collaboration
Ability to connect among County agencies, schools, youth, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders
Skills in building youth voice and supporting community-driven prevention initiatives
Knowledge of culturally responsive and research-driven strategies to promote the wellbeing of children, youth, and families
Commitment to delivering client services in an effective, equitable, respectful, and trauma-informed manner
Demonstrated competency, sensitivity, and awareness of factors impacting the client experience including cultural identity, gender, racial and ethnic diversity, religious/spiritual ascription, physical capability, cognitive and literacy levels, sexual orientation, and linguistic needs
