Responsibilities

Attend and lead technical and program reviews, working groups, and design milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, ORR)

Ensure compliance with applicable engineering and quality standards, including IEEE 15288.x, SAE AS9100, AS6500, and MIL-STD-882E

Provide technical deliverables and documentation related to secure networking

Support secure networking during hardware/software integration and ground system transitions

Establish and maintain network connectivity, security controls, and cryptographic device management

Ensure proper handling of COMSEC devices, spares, and keying materials

Provide secure networking inputs to project schedules and integrated master plans

Track milestones, risks, and deliverables related to networking security activities

Lead or support requirements definition, risk management, and technical performance tracking

Develop and maintain networking artifacts within model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environments

Support verification, validation, and system safety planning for secure networking elements

Deliver sustainment and maintenance planning for secure networking infrastructure

Develop, review, and maintain interface control documents for networking systems

Support integration and test activities with vendors and mission partners

Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure interoperability across systems and mission partners

Participate in test readiness reviews and resolve findings

Support cybersecurity testing and evaluation of ground systems

Develop and maintain cybersecurity body of evidence (e.g., workforce rosters, PPS matrices, STIGs, compliance reports, network diagrams, device configs)

Conduct vulnerability assessments, compliance scans, and mitigation activities

Protect systems against TEMPEST-related threats and information leakage

Design, plan, and execute secure network infrastructure installations at operational facilities

Maintain ground system infrastructure with updated configurations

Support nominal and backup operations of ground elements as the secure networking lead
