The MEP Summer Internship program offers college Juniors the opportunity to work with engineers on tenant interior and core & shell projects, focusing on system design and gaining practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design tasks for projects, attend and assist in surveys and/or construction field inspections, along with the review of contractor shop drawings

Develop an understanding of system design for tenant interior commercial projects, and/or core and shell-based building projects. Intern will also be exposed to the National Building Codes

Assist in the design of electrical and fire protection/plumbing systems based on the candidates’ field of study

Mechanical Engineer will become familiar with HVAC load programs

Electrical Engineer Interns will become familiar with electrical load calculations, feeder voltage drops, lighting control design systems, Fire Alarm system design, etc

Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer Interns will assist in Hydraulic calculations for sprinkler system design

Required

Actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering or related program. May 2027 Graduation preferred

Demonstrated interest in Engineering or Engineering Design

Must be familiar with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, and/or Revit

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

High attention to detail
