Device fabrication and characterization based on novel nonlinear optical materials

Required

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in the field of Material Science, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field
3+ years experience with organic chemistry, organic optical/electric materials, or material/process design emphasizing materials synthesis and characterization
3+ years experience with experimental materials/process and conducting laboratory work (i.e., demonstrated ability to construct proof-of-concept systems and to evaluate performance)
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred

Intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship/co-op
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences
Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
