Responsibilities
Serve as a lead legal advisor for fintech products
Navigate and advise on complex regulatory, compliance, and commercial aspects of launching new financial products globally
Draft and negotiate agreements with banks and payment processors
Review new products, features, and initiatives to develop risk mitigation strategies
Partner with cross-functional teams to support product development and regulatory compliance
Assist in preparing and responding to inquiries from federal and state regulators
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in at least one U.S. state
7+ years of legal experience in the financial services or fintech environments with a focus on payments
Deep knowledge of federal and state payment regulations
Experience interfacing with banks, regulatory agencies, and payment networks
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills within high-growth, fast-paced environments
Preferred
Experience advising on risk mitigation for technology platforms
An understanding of privacy and content compliance
