NetSuite is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Engineer (Networking) to join their Multicloud Services organization. The role involves designing and launching major features for public cloud services, while providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams.

Drive design of major service components
Work with engineering managers and TPMs
Provide direct guidance to more junior team members
Go from high level system design to hands-on prototyping
Write architectural documentation
Drive engineering peer reviews

Required

10+ years of experience in software engineering
Hands-on expertise in solving difficult problems in cloud service software engineering
Experience in building control plane components for public cloud services
Experience with the design of major features and launching them into production
Built and operated high-scale public cloud services
Deep understanding of control plane architecture
Ability to work independently on most projects and tasks
Technical leadership experience to development teams
Experience in driving design of major service components
Ability to work with engineering managers and TPMs
Experience providing direct guidance to junior team members
Ability to go from high level system design to hands-on prototyping
Experience in writing architectural documentation and driving engineering peer reviews
Ability to balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements
Experience in automating and instrumenting services
Understanding of operational excellence and instilling a culture of high quality and customer focus
Fluency in English
