Responsibilities
Perform golf operations duties including but not limited to the collection of all fees and pass sales, controlling the pace of play and enforcing the rules and procedures
Direct seasonal golf staff during shift
Perform opening and closing duties of the golf facility including early mornings, nights, on the weekend and on holidays
Check in golfers, facilitate league coordination, answer phones, troubleshoot customer issues, and prepare the cash drawer for morning staff
Oversee seasonal golf staff in daily operations when necessary
Be proficient in the computer system and Park District point of sale procedures and policies
Maintain golf course tee sheet database
Assist in planning club events
Be proficient with all Park District policies and procedures
Use Google Workspace to create word processing and spreadsheets when necessary
Monitor inventory and recommend purchase of all golf and recreation supplies
Attend golf staff meetings
Communicate issues of importance to the Director of Golf or to the Golf Operations Manager
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license
Must have a minimum of two years of experience in golf course or recreation operations
Must be well-organized, possess customer service skills and be able to handle multi-faceted projects
Must be able to work additional hours when necessary
Must be able to work days, early mornings, nights, on the weekend and on holidays
Must have prior experience in working with point-of-sale computers and have experience using Google Workspace
Must be able to communicate effectively with others to allow for coordination of work, safety and in emergency situations if needed
Must be able to recognize unsafe conditions and respond accordingly
Must adhere to all Park District policies
Must be able to lift and/or move water jugs and baskets of golf balls weighing between 35-50 pounds each
Must be able to walk up and down a 25% grade
Must be able to talk and see (both near and far)
Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for long periods of time
