Senior Sales & Business Development Representative - Health Technology Sales (Ovid Synthesis Sales Specialist)

Responsibilities
Proactively seek out and identify potential clients and opportunities, with a primary focus on closing new business deals
Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure alignment with our target market and business objectives
Develop and execute strategies to approach and engage prospective clients, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs
Conduct compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our offerings
Handle negotiations with prospective clients, addressing any objections, and guiding them through the sales process to secure new contracts
Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, tracking progress and reporting on key metrics
Demonstrated success in sales roles, with a focus on acquiring new business and closing complex new business deals
Ability to effectively negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining a positive client experience
Skilled in developing and executing strategies to attract and convert new clients
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively
Highly driven and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets
Understanding of navigating budget, IT and procurement for new products in healthcare
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent experience
5+ years of field sales experience; or related experience
Complex sales and solution selling experience
Experience negotiating with hospital leadership, information technology, and Procurement
Knowledge of Windows, Internet/WWW, CRM Applications, and Salesforce
Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across departments within Health Research
Intrinsically self-motivated, quick learner, autonomous self-starter, disciplined time management and result-driven
Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in sales roles, with a focus on acquiring new business and closing complex new business deals
Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining a positive client experience
Strategic Mindset: Skilled in developing and executing strategies to attract and convert new clients
Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively
Self-Motivated: Highly driven and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets
Experience with SAAS Sales in Healthcare: Understanding of navigating budget, IT and procurement for new products in healthcare
Preferred
Knowledge of hospital quality improvement industry preferred
Publishing or Information industry would be a plus
