Data Center Campus Mechanical Engineer, Data Center Services (English)
Google is a leading technology company that is seeking a Data Center Campus Mechanical Engineer to join their Data Center Engineering team. In this role, you will oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of HVAC and mechanical distribution systems, ensuring compliance with standards and managing site-level engineering issues.

Responsibilities
Provide technical support to operations teams to define mechanical system design requirements for multiple simultaneous data center projects, overseeing them from inception through completion
Collaborate with Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) core teams to manage mechanical designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issued for Construction (IFC) covering new build-outs, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations
Address site-specific engineering needs by responding to Requests for Informations (RFIs) in coordination with the Engineer of Record (EOR) and managing the technical bug resolution process
Facilitate new technology insertions by detailing site-specific requirements during BOD development and coordinating system-level schematics with the EOR to ensure all local standards are met
Own the resolution of site-level mechanical issues during project execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain interface documents and ensure strict compliance with change control processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Professional Engineering (PE) license
10 years of experience in facility design and construction environments
Experience in mechanical infrastructure
Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field
Experience with infrastructure, including estimating, mechanical design, and equipment operation
Experience in designing, building, and commissioning mechanical cooling plants, fire suppression, fuel oil, and water systems
Experience with prefabrication or modular building techniques, with the operational knowledge of construction safety procedures
Knowledge of water treatment chemistry, process water flushing and cleaning
