The Bus CNC Operator will engage in all activities concerned with producing parts by operating a CNC machine, ensuring jobs are completed and shipped as scheduled while meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities
Support the effort to be a best-in-class manufacturer through the fabrication of high-quality products that exceed our clients’ expectations by operating either the Punch Press or Break Press machines to cut holes or bend materials as needed for the fabrication of Point Eight Power products. This includes the following:
Retrieving the punch list, and parts list, and applicable CNC programs to create parts as needed per job
Locating and moving or pulling raw sheet metal material as described by the parts list per job
Loading materials onto the machine in preparation for punch or break and safely securing materials on the machine with the use of clamps, fingers or other fixtures
Selecting die clearance, punches, tools, or other attachments needed to complete projects based on the specifications of the materials; Install and align them as needed to ensure optimal performance
Coordinating with other CNC Operators to enter commands or adjust machine controls to correct errors, especially while operating the break press
Monitoring machines and control panel displays to ensure machines are operating correctly
Using tools, such as calipers and protractors, to measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements
Staging parts as completed to prepare for the next phase of fabrication
Performing scheduled and repair maintenance of machines, as required. This also includes maintaining, sharpening and replacing tools, as necessary
Maintaining a safe, clean, well-organized work area
Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required
Training with the Bus CNC Foremen to develop the skills and learn how to operate both machines
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Must be flexible to work overtime and some Saturdays
1+ years of sheet metal fabrication or CNC operator field
Preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Forklift certification
