Business Systems Analyst 1
The University of Miami is recognized as a premier research institution and is seeking a Business Systems Analyst 1 to assist with the development of Identity and Access Management (IAM) technology plans. The role involves analyzing IAM systems, conducting research for best practices, and making recommendations to enhance overall performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Analyze IAM systems reports, recommend and apply necessary updates
Conducts research for IAM best practice models and benchmarking
Maintains ongoing communication with managing staff
Apply industrial and management engineering techniques such as process designs, optimization models, and chain management principles, to improve overall IAM systems
Analyzes existing flow of people, activities, and materials, employee work methods and utilization, policies and procedures, forms, and computerized systems
Improves productivity through the application of technology and human factors
Collects data to measure baseline versus improvement before and after recommendations are implemented
Prepares presentations of projects including data collected, methodology used, results obtained, and recommendations for improvement
Designs improved work systems by revising IAM standards, policies, and procedures
Familiarity with ServiceNow, Active Directory (AD), Entra ID and other Identity platforms i.e. SailPoint, CyberArk is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc
Experience with server administration is a plus
Backup for day-to-day application support and completes service tickets
Flexible to participate in on-call schedule rotation
Adheres to University policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered
Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft o365 suite. Familiar with Identity Platforms, Microsoft AD/Entra, and relevant computer applications
Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders
Preferred
Familiarity with ServiceNow, Active Directory (AD), Entra ID and other Identity platforms i.e. SailPoint, CyberArk is a plus

Experience with server administration is a plus
Certification and Licensing: Security+, CIAM, Microsoft certifications a plus
