Responsibilities
Lead and direct the domestic and offshore mutual fund and money market fund business as the primary subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance to the Advisory Sales Desk, advisory program teams, Service Group, CIO, Advanced Planning, and other internal stakeholders
Drive the resolution of complex trading and operational challenges
Foster strong relationships with internal partners, fund companies, and the field
Strategically manage relationships with over 450 mutual fund providers, partnering with Legal to manage the contract lifecycle, including creation, negotiation and execution of distribution agreement
Develop and maintain marketing, disclosure, training, and educational materials, including managing internal and public website content
Identify opportunities to increase product awareness among Financial Advisors and clients and explore new product offerings with fund partners to support business growth and CIO alignment
Manage a suite of projects to enhance operational efficiency, improve the FA and client experience, and unlock revenue and cost saving opportunities
Forge and cultivate key partnerships across the firm to develop deep expertise in platforms and product offerings, encompassing both traditional and non-traditional assets
Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, and industry developments and lead the implementation of enhancements in collaboration with the Public Policy Office and internal control partners
Qualification
Required
Ideally 5+ years experience in the financial services industry, ideally with a focus on investment products and/or program management
Deep and comprehensive knowledge of mutual funds and money market funds, including market trends, regulatory landscapes, and investment strategies
Demonstrated expertise in investment product management, encompassing the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization to launch and ongoing management, with a focus on innovation and market differentiation
Proven capability in complex contract management, including negotiation, execution, compliance, and optimization of financial and legal agreements
Exceptional ability to manage strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and FAs/clients to drive business growth and foster collaboration
Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and motivate teams towards achieving ambitious goals
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a proven record of thriving in fast-paced environments and navigating complex challenges effectively
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with a talent for clearly and persuasively articulating complex financial information and building strong relationships
Bachelor's degree required, with an MBA or related advanced degree a plus
Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and big data aggregation and analysis
Preferred
Series 7 and 66 licenses preferred
Familiarity with Morningstar Workstation is a plus
