Responsibilities
Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to align with business and technical requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and data engineers, to understand data needs
Define data modeling standards and best practices, ensuring consistency across systems
Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with governance policies
Work with ETL developers to ensure seamless integration of data across different systems
Perform data profiling, lineage analysis, and impact assessments for new projects
Document metadata, relationships, and business rules in data dictionaries
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in data modeling tools (Erwin, IBM Data Architect, etc.)
Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
Experience with data warehousing and BI tools
Understanding of normalization, denormalization, indexing, and partitioning
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, etc.)
