Responsibilities

Develop field sales plans and lead a regional team of field sales representatives
Allocate total regional sales budget and control expenses accordingly to meet or exceed business objectives
Coordinate with Market Access and Medical Affairs functions at regional level
Understand key market drivers and business dynamics and provide those insights cross-functionally
Teach, train, and coach sales professionals regarding product and disease state knowledge
Identify training needs and communicate with sales training team
Ensure strong execution of all commercial initiatives at the field level. Provide recognition of outstanding performance while taking action to improve behaviors to drive performance when needed
Travel with sales reps to key accounts, as needed
Identify, recruit, and retain top talent to fill vacant sales positions
Collaborate with sales training to design programs for launch meetings, plan of action, and other sales training and planning meetings
Foster relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), MD networks, and other industry contacts
Oversee compliance from field sales team on all company policies, as well as all legal and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with brand team providing field level insights to help influence and drive brand strategy

Required

Bachelor's degree
8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
Significant experience within oncology or rare disease, including product launch(es)
Solid knowledge of retail, hospital, and managed care environments

Preferred

2+ years of pharmaceutical field sales management experience at a regional level
