Manufacturing Engineer
Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. They are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, integration, and continuous improvement of advanced manufacturing systems and processes at their Grand Prairie manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
Support Automation team and manufacturing systems in deployment of wiring cells, automated material conveyance (AMRs), and assembly cells
Utilize data analytics tools (Mendix, Mindsphere, Tableau, MES) to monitor performance metrics, automate reporting, and drive data-informed decisions
Lead projects focused on safety, quality, delivery reliability, and cost reduction through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Oversee manufacturing capability, continuity, and process documentation for new product introductions and production line improvements
Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including budgeting, cost analysis, vendor coordination, and execution of equipment installations
Apply project management principles to ensure timely delivery, scope adherence, and stakeholder alignment for all manufacturing improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a production environment
Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting, i.e. Power BI or Tableau
Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing techniques and fixture/equipment design
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD tools
Proven ability to manage CapEx projects, including cost justification, procurement, and implementation of production equipment
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred
Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes
Experience with manufacturing execution systems and/or quality management systems
Experience with ERP (SAP or similar), and manufacturing simulation tools
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification
