Responsibilities
Leading structural analysis of enclosures, subassemblies, and integrated systems
Building advanced FEMs to simulate stress, fatigue, and thermal performance (MIL-STD-810, DO-160)
Working closely with design teams to optimize structural safety, reliability, and performance
Conducting trade studies and sensitivity analyses to assess risks
Guiding and mentoring junior engineers on best practices and technical development
Supporting structural model validation and flight test activities
Qualification
Required
4+ years' experience in structural analysis for aerospace or high-performance hardware
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Strong experience with Ansys, Simcenter, or Femap
Deep understanding of structural mechanics, dynamics, and materials
Confident with both FEA tools and hand calculations to bound complex problems
Preferred
scripting skills (Python, MATLAB)
experience qualifying spaceflight hardware
