Responsibilities

Plans and conducts aquatic/riparian inventories and studies which are similar to previous such efforts
Analyzes data collected. Plans and conducts simple water quality sampling of stream and lakes. Enters and retrieves data from automated databases

Required

U.S. Citizenship is required
Knowledge of fish biology
Field work experience
Possess one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples: Plan and conduct aquatic/riparian inventories and studies; plan and conduct uncomplicated fish population studies and analyze collected data; plan and conduct simple water quality sampling of streams and lakes; enter and retrieve data from automated databases
One full year (18 semester/27 quarter hours) of successfully completed graduate level coursework directly related to the work of fishery biology
Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate level education. The combined total must equal 100%
Your resume must contain enough information to show that you meet the qualification requirements as defined in the announcement
Work requires some physical exertion such as bending and walking in terrain that is rough, rocky, mountainous and densely vegetated
Required to lift and carry equipment necessary to efficiently perform the work of the position, and to provide for personal comfort and safety
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
