Responsibilities

Execute and oversee client tax operational controls within a banking environment
Support accurate tax withholding and regulatory reporting
Prepare and coordinate annual tax filings (1099, 1042)
Monitor, investigate, and remediate withholding exceptions
Perform data analysis to assess operational performance, risks, and controls
Track and manage KPIs and KRIs, including coordination with outsourcing or offshore teams
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and compliant client tax practices
Contribute to governance, risk management, audit readiness, and process improvements

Required

3+ years of experience in tax operations, controls, or related functions within a bank or financial institution
Strong understanding of withholding tax and IRS reporting (1099, 1042, 871m, 1446(f))
Strong analytical and data skills (Excel required; SQL and Tableau a plus)
Experience working within control frameworks and regulatory environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, regulated banking environment
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Experience within Global Markets, Securities Services, or Custody Operations
Familiarity with US banking regulatory requirements related to tax operations
Experience working with offshore or outsourced teams
Proven ability to drive process improvements in complex organizations
