Responsibilities

You’ll provide inspection and quality assurance on highway and roadway construction projects

You’ll determine whether completed work complies with plans and specifications

You’ll coordinate work with the contractor and various public utility agencies

You’ll maintain records and reports related to the project

You’ll coordinate directly with the general contractor

You’ll negotiate change orders

You’ll assist in inspections to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and special provisions

You’ll assist in preparing contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other required project documents or reports

You’ll coordinate the sampling and testing of construction materials to monitor compliance with contract specifications

You’ll monitor and track contractor progress

You’ll prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required

Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeRoadway Construction InspectionEIT CertificationCaltrans Standards KnowledgeConstruction Materials Knowledge

Required

Graduation from a four-year ABET-accredited civil engineering program, or a valid EIT certification may be substituted for the required education

Minimum two (2) years' experience in roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects performing duties described in this contract

Master's or Doctorate degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Minimum two (2) years' experience in roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects performing duties described in this contract
