Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to move loads to and from trucks
Perform actions required to obtain a dispatch and perform driver maintenance on assigned vehicle
Performs operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, and cleaning and washing vehicles
Operate tractor and semi-trailer units, weighing over 50,000 pounds
Transport water, cargo, fuel and petroleum products, and/or special weapons and their components
Qualification
Required
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
Must obtain a government license to operate military vehicles, as appropriate
Must possess and maintain the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) 'A' with airbrakes tanker and HAZMAT endorsement
Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in operating a forklift
Must complete a pre-employment physical examination
Must be subject to applicant testing and random drug testing as a condition of employment
Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment
Ability to do the work of a Motor Vehicle Operator (Fork Lift Operator) without more than normal supervision
Ability to drive safely (motor vehicles)
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)
Ability to operate safely (non-motor vehicles)
Operation of motor vehicles
Reliability and dependability as a Motor Vehicle Operator
Work practices (including keeping things neat, clean, and in order)
