They are seeking a Database Specialist to lead the migration of critical data from on-premise systems to AWS, focusing on schema conversions, data migrations, and optimizations for core banking applications.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute database migrations from on-prem (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) into AWS

Perform schema conversion, data migration, and post-migration optimization

Design database architectures on AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2-hosted databases)

Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning

Support application teams with data access patterns and optimization

Required

5+ years in database administration/engineering with 3+ years in database migration projects

Expertise in Oracle and SQL Server; experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL is a plus

Strong skills in database performance tuning and optimization
