Technical Offering Support Manager – Rotary Drills, Parts & Services
Sandvik is a global engineering leader with over 41,000 employees worldwide, and they are seeking a Technical Offering Support Manager for their Rotary Drills, Parts & Services division in Alachua, FL. The primary focus of this role is to deliver engineering design and technical expertise associated with Parts & Services products and manage discrete work packages within active R&D projects, ensuring aftermarket considerations are included in product development.

Responsibilities
Delivery of engineering design and technical expertise associated with Parts & Services products being used in the commercial offering
Manage the overall scope of discrete work packages within active R&D projects to ensure aftermarket considerations are included in the product development
Collaborate with the Technical Services departments of the Rotary Drills Division and provide technical support to the Product Line Managers during the development of new products and the improvement of existing products
Provide support to the company’s Intellectual Property (IP) strategy
Represent Parts & Services within Equipment Division NPD projects and apply design for aftermarket principles
Lead actions to support the new P&S project model together with the project team and Technical Services team
Ensure compliance with the stage gate model to improve Parts & Services operational readiness as new products are introduced to the market
Design and evaluate theoretical designs using engineering principles and techniques and identify and/or define suitable testing for the Parts & Services product offering
Ensure all new products are developed to the required quality requirements whilst considering customer requirements, risk, operational needs, reliability and function
Provide engineering advice and guidance concerning EHSQ aspects related to the specification, design, testing of Parts & Services products, processes
Qualification
Required
At least 7 years' experience working with major components in engineering applications
Good understanding of the aftermarket business, end-customer's operating cost expectations, equipment design and system-software concepts
Thorough knowledge of engineering principles
Proven track record of leading small to medium sized engineering and R&D projects from concept through to completion, including budget and schedule management
Self-motivated, hands-on and organized, capable of successful follow-up and completion of complex matters
Excellent influencing skills and an ability to develop trusted and collaborative relationships with the Parts & Services Product Line teams, Technical Services teams of the Rotary Drills Division and any other business stakeholders
Well-developed English skills
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
Ability to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship
Preferred
An MSc in engineering
PE license or chartered engineering status
