Responsibilities

Undertake a supervised project on methods related to the quantum enhanced simulation of material (e.g. density functional theory, post DFT methods and machine learning), efficient representation of chemical and materials problems on quantum devices or close related projects

Required

Currently pursuing a PhD (or recently completed) in (ab initio) electronic structure methods, theory and computation, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field
Demonstrable interest and experience in applied and theoretical computational materials science or closely related field
A developing publication track-record in relevant discipline
Flexibility to work across different aspects of quantum software and underpinning theory

Preferred

Experience in materials discovery and use of machine learning methods to enhance workflows
Enthusiasm for learning and novel research
Excellent communication skills
