Nothing is a company dedicated to sustainability by replacing plastic products with paper alternatives. They are seeking a Community & Social Growth Lead to manage their social channels and community engagement, focusing on content performance and community health.

Responsibilities

Track content performance across platforms (reach, saves, shares, comments, retention)
Identify patterns in winning posts - hooks, formats, topics, tone
Diagnose underperforming content and explain •why• it didn’t land
Regularly share insights and recommendations with the team
Engage daily in comments, DMs, and replies - thoughtfully, not robotically
Build relationships with café owners, baristas, operators, creators, and customers
Recognize and reward community members who show up consistently
Turn recurring conversations into content ideas, FAQs, and narratives
Own day-to-day posting across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms
Write captions that feel human, smart, and on-brand
Stay ahead of trends and adapt them to Nothing’s voice (not trend-chasing)
Help plan content around launches, partnerships, and experiments
Identify creators and customers already aligned with our mission
Proactively source and manage UGC
Build lightweight systems for ongoing relationships
Help turn customers into collaborators
Be a steward of Nothing’s tone and values
Bring insights from the community back into product, marketing, and messaging
Act as the connective tissue between the brand and the people using it

Required

2 - 5+ years of experience managing social accounts or communities
Direct experience building and engaging a community, not just growing followers
A strong instinct for why content performs the way it does
The ability to articulate insights, not just metrics
Excellent written communication and taste
Curious and analytical - you ask why before doing more
Comfortable engaging publicly and privately as the brand
Plugged into internet culture, food & beverage, or sustainability
Organized enough to run systems, flexible enough to move fast

Preferred

Grown an account organically
Run experiments and iterate based on results
Worked with creators or ambassadors
Managed community during moments of virality or controversy
