They are seeking an experienced Environmental Technician 1 who will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of remediation systems, as well as performing various environmental sampling and inspections.

Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair remediation systems
Perform remediation system operations and maintenance
Perform soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling
Perform site inspections and other data collection
Gather field operation and maintenance data in a neat and organized manner
Optimize remediation systems including soil vapor extraction systems, thermal oxidizers, catalytic oxidizers, groundwater extraction and product recovery systems
Install, operate, and maintain groundwater pumps
Travel to various local remediation system locations
Use environmental field instruments including water quality meters, pressure and vacuum meters/gauges, PID/FIDs, and other gas meters
Work closely with engineers and project managers to operate, maintain, and optimize the various remediation systems
Understand system permits-to-operate and conduct operation of the systems in accordance with the respective permits
Actively develop your own career growth
Qualification
Required
GED or High School diploma
2 to 4 years of experience with remediation systems, maintenance, and data collection required
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and work under inclement weather conditions
Stable employment history and favorable employment references
Track record of excellent attendance and punctuality
Background and drug screening
Own reliable transportation
Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices
