Responsibilities

Welcome patients and caregivers, ensuring a positive and seamless admission process

Collect, verify, and input medical, insurance, and demographic information with accuracy

Explain and complete admission paperwork, obtaining required signatures (e.g., patient rights, consent forms)

Conduct safety checks and assist with belongings searches as needed

Manage patient interactions in crisis situations, maintaining a calm and welcoming environment

Facilitate unscheduled admissions, including screenings and scheduling in collaboration with Patient Access

Communicate with multidisciplinary teams to address clinical criteria, documentation, and treatment issues

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and other regulatory requirements

Explain insurance coverage to patients and handle related inquiries

Provide clear documentation and communicate cases requiring special attention

Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Professional demeanor and adherence to hospital policies

Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and willingness to participate in training

Commitment to the mission of Rogers Behavioral Health and patient care excellence

Computer skills required, including word processing

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred

Mental Health experience preferred

Previous experience in insurance, billing preferred

Valid driver's license preferred and must be granted insurable status by the Rogers insurance policy
