Development Assistant

Health Imperatives is seeking a Development Assistant to support fundraising and special events. The role involves managing donor data, drafting grant responses, and assisting in planning events for donors and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist with management of donor data and correspondence
Gather information and program data in response to funding opportunities and grant reports
Draft responses to funding opportunities and grant reports
Monitor grant reporting deadlines and requirements
Liaise with Finance staff on account reconciliation and audits
Research and inventory potential grant opportunities and wealth screening tools
Assist with planning and execution of special events for donors, Board members, and staff
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Microsoft OfficeCRM softwareFundraising experienceCanvaEmail platformsCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsDetail-oriented

Required

At least one year of work experience in an office/administrative environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, without the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT
Excellent organizational skills
Able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented, with the ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office; Zoom; Sharepoint or similar file-sharing platforms
Commitment to working with low-income and vulnerable individuals and families

Preferred

Prior development/fundraising/events experience
Experience with CRM software such as Neon or Salesforce
Experience using Canva for basic design projects
Experience using Constant Contact, MailChimp, or similar email platforms
Familiarity with preparing mail merges and mass mailings
