Responsibilities
Utilizing ADP Workforce Now to oversee full-cycle payroll processing for employees across corporate, manufacturing, and project sites
Ensuring accuracy of wage calculations, overtime, bonuses, and deductions in compliance with FLSA, California, and multi-state requirements
Administering payroll and compensation for prevailing wage projects
Handling garnishments, union dues, fringe allocations, and state-specific deductions and remittances
Collaborating with Finance to preparation and filing of quarterly and annual payroll tax reports
Overseeing compensation administration through structured job architecture, pay bands, and market pricing
Working with HR business partners to evaluate new roles, promotions, and reclassifications while balancing compliance and equity
Managing benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, wellness, and leave) and working with vendors to ensure accurate payroll deductions
Ensuring compliance with filings including COBRA, ACA, ERISA, EEO-1, CalSavers, and HIPAA
Maintaining HRIS and payroll data integrity
Leading internal and external audits related to payroll, benefits, prevailing wage, and tax compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
7+ years compensation, payroll, and benefits experience, ideally within the manufacturing or construction industries
Multi-state payroll experience
Advanced Excel proficiency
ERP systems implementation experience
Preferred
Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
