Corporate Trainer

The Corporate Trainer will analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs while collaborating with leadership to identify training needs and assess the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum for teammates
Collaborate with the Director of Learning and leadership to identify training needs
Analyze effectiveness of training and workshops to the teammates and develop modifications if needed
Training includes but is not limited to classroom training, virtual training, internet-based training, e-mails, newsletters and site visits
Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods appropriate for intended audience
Design course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals, exercises and tests
Develop or select teaching aids that will enhance the training materials and overall message
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training efforts and proactively implement changes as needed
Develop and coordinate training schedule based on needs of production workforce
Provide general training assistance as needed by telephone, via e-mail or in person
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Three years of insurance industry experience
Effective communication (verbal, written and presentation skills) and interpersonal skills
Ability to gain confidence and respect of all levels of management and staff through professionalism and positive attitude
Ability to deal with confidential matters appropriately
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities
Ability to review information, make decisions, and manage time effectively with minimal to no supervision
High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies and the willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in training
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Must possess and maintain current knowledge of technological trends
Maintain travel as required
Ability to work extended hours when necessary
Preferred
Previous training in a classroom environment
Insurance related certifications or designations
Previous experience with curriculum development
