Responsibilities
Label Support: Liaise with account management team to field both owned and distributed label partners’ day-to-day requests such as DSP profile optimization, ad-hoc sales reporting, troubleshooting product delivery issues, and other operational support tasks
Account Management: Provide label partners with account-specific operational support, collect & communicate advanced links for RUSH releases, track & identify social media trends and provide summary to internal team
Release Admin & Planning: Assist in identifying & communicating UMG’s upcoming New Releases, working with owned & distributed labels to collect assets, organize pitch details, and communicate priorities to partners. Track, identify & summarize social media trends for internal team
Organize and optimize upcoming disclosure activities
Organize volunteer programs for our impact ambassadors worldwide
Assist in renewable energy transition planning
Serve a key role in the development of various reporting products/dashboards, helping to craft the technical approach and deliverable aligned with business objectives
Foster relationships with other labels, marketing, eCommerce, and operations teams to gather, scrutinize, and document business requirements
Design advanced, compelling, actionable data visualizations for a variety of different stakeholder groups
Help drive enterprise-wide product engagement and adoption via regular data QA and troubleshooting
Leverage your data-oriented mindset, instincts, and curiosity to identify the signals, trends and meaningful information from an array of datasets
Actively innovate and enhance our suite of tools to maintain a best-in-class service offering
Support market and artist performance analyses, identifying trends that inform strategic and commercial decisions
Assist in the design and delivery of analytical projects focused on catalog growth, release performance, and audience engagement
Translate insights into clear business recommendations through structured storytelling and presentation building
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, insights, and finance teams to align data-driven findings with creative and operational goals
Contribute to internal tools and dashboards that help stakeholders access and interpret insights efficiently
Participate in process and communication improvements, such as refining presentation templates, organizing project repositories, or supporting team-wide initiatives
Demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking by proposing new methods, metrics, or approaches to improve how we measure success and communicate value
Assisting with operational process improvement, project management, and administrative duties related to day-to-day facilities operations

Support in creating visualizations and storytelling presentations that clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Updating and preparing our forecast and budget files along with shadowing fellow team members to learn how to project future financial assumptions

Provide day-to-day finance support to the North America Recorded Music Division and liaise with the Label Finance teams and Central Accounting team on key elements of the monthly close/forecasts
Assist in preparation and assembly of quarterly financial forecasts and annual plan for UMG
Analyze actual variances to budget and forecast for various Universal Music divisions
Collect, analyze and report key performance indicators and highlight trends in margin, artist investment and cash flow
Participate in developing forward looking revenue guidance for North America labels by analyzing industry trends, marketing data, DSP reporting as well as historical data
Assist in analyzing and forecasting revenue accruals for the entire territory to ensure timely reporting with accuracy
Develop KPIs/dashboards/presentations by synthesizing large datasets to consumable financial insights to senior executives
Drive efficiency by identifying areas for system improvement/adoption as well as guiding continuous improvement efforts for financial analysis & reporting tools

Collect, clean, and analyze people data (e.g., headcount, recruitment funnel metrics, DEI, engagement, turnover) to generate actionable insights for HR and business leaders
Build dashboards, visualizations, and recurring reports to track KPIs and progress against strategic priorities
Partner with HRIS, TA, Finance, and DEI teams to ensure consistency in data definitions, reporting standards, and compliance
Conduct routine data audits to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment across HR systems
Support internal and external reporting needs (e.g., DEI, workforce metrics, audits) through accurate data gathering and clear narrative insights
Provide full-cycle coordination support for the Talent Acquisition team, including scheduling interviews across multiple time zones, managing candidate communications, and ensuring a smooth, timely process
Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) data hygiene, updating candidate statuses, postings, and recruitment trackers
Support TA reporting by monitoring recruiting funnel metrics and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and candidate experience
Assist in job posting administration, offer letter preparation, background check coordination, and onboarding handoffs
Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to anticipate needs, troubleshoot scheduling challenges, and ensure alignment throughout the hiring process
Participate in optimization initiatives through process discovery, solution design, training preparation, and implementation
Translate complex data findings into accessible insights that inform Talent, DEI, and People strategies
Support creation of executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and visual summaries
Keep TA and HR stakeholders informed of project progress, risks, and dependencies
Build strong relationships with recruiters, HR partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless hiring and data operations
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursuing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
Graduating between Spring 2026 - Fall 2028
Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing or transportation accommodations)
Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, OPT, etc.)
Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week (based on individual business area)

Minimum 2-3 years of direct experience in data analytics/reporting
Strong proficiency in SQL with proven ability to write complex queries to analyze data
Experience in customizing and managing BI tool frontend environments (Looker is a huge plus)
Some experience coding for data analytics (e.g., SQL or Python)
Familiarity with data-visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
Previous exposure to any area of the music industry
Strong program and project management experience
Strong video editing and content creation skills
Experience with making visual assets in creative programs (Canva, Adobe Pro or similar)
Experience using ATS or HR systems (e.g., Workday) preferred
