Responsibilities

Responsible for coaching, teaching, and supervision of assigned personnel
Responsible for effective employee relations. Initiates and is proactive with employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through identifying problems and resolutions
Provide on-site leadership for team by building and motivating team members to meet goals while adhering to their responsibilities
Responsible for the performance management (hiring, development, discipline, termination) of direct reports while collaborating with Human Resources
Manage and oversee the full cycle of accounting operations including month-end and year-end close processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
Assist in developing budgets and forecasts
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Evaluate and drive continuous improvement to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
Establish and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reliable financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (sales tax, payroll tax, 1099s, etc.)
Coordinate and lead external audits and serve as primary point of contact for external auditors
Collaborate with peers to optimize cost accounting, treasury, financial reporting and contract management
Collaborate with legal entities for eliminations and consolidations
Complete other duties and special projects as assigned
Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree required
Six (6) to ten (10) years Accounting Manager experience required
Prior experience preparing information for audits required
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Advanced knowledge of revenue recognition standards
Advanced knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and ability to support IFRS and Dutch GAAP
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to interpret and analyze accounting standards to facilitate decisions through ambiguity and complexity
Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
Ability to analyze and evaluate procedures and work processes and to exercise appropriate judgment in establishing priorities and work methods
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team
Aptitude for customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals at all levels
Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office, JD Edwards and Data Access Studio
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in parallel in a time sensitive environment
Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Strong organization skills, flexibility and the ability to set priorities

Preferred

Industry-specific experience in manufacturing preferred
Familiarity with data analytics tools and automation preferred
