Bamboo Insurance is seeking a Director of Claims Process and Compliance to lead strategic initiatives ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. The role involves overseeing claims performance, training adjusters, and developing AI-driven strategies to enhance claims outcomes.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies that align audit, compliance, technical claims management, and support functions with organizational goals for claims performance

Design and lead comprehensive training programs for new and existing adjusters focused on systems, process, claim handling, policy interpretation, advanced estimating, etc

Responsible for coordinating quarterly QA events for each claims channel. Collect, analyze, and present findings identifying performance strengths and opportunities impacting service, efficiency, and accuracy

Facilitate external claim audits requested by carriers, reinsurers, or regulatory entities

Prepares and presents complex information to the claim’s organization, carrier partners, and senior leadership

Lead the development and implementation an AI-driven claims strategy, establishing clear usage policies, governance frameworks, and accountability for AI systems

Maintaining and developing forms and correspondence in compliance with regulatory compliance

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Prior people management experience, specifically with hiring, training, supervision, coaching, mentoring and developing top talent

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Public speaking (voice projection, body language), visual storytelling, active listening, and the ability to work under tight, high-pressure deadlines

Ability to establish rapport, credibility, trust, and positive relationships with direct reports, including those working remotely

Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work activities

Ability to work with standard office technology, including Microsoft Office Suite

Able to provide an environment that encourages and develops new ideas from employees and peers

Property claims experience to include: Significant leadership experience in property claims, Overall claim investigation, Complex coverage assessment, Water mitigation, Dwelling repair management, Construction knowledge and estimating experience, Personal property evaluation, ALE management

At least five years of related claims experience required

At least five years of supervisory experience, managing multiple claim teams with at least two direct reports
