Responsibilities
Assist in documenting security policies, procedures, and incident reports
Proactively monitor the environment to detect and implement steps to mitigate cyber-attacks before they occur
Participates in threat hunting and threat detection. Help perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
Perform tasks using a range of enterprise security tools
Monitor security alerts and assist in triage
Monitor security related tickets and perform necessary activities to respond to or resolve the tickets
Collaborate with fellow interns within the internship program
Qualification
Required
Strong writing skills, as well as the ability to articulate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
Provides timely and accurate distribution of information and reports related to information security activities, products, processes and software
Familiarity with security principles, practices, and technologies
Knowledge of the NIST and MITRE Att&ck Framework
Understanding of networking, firewalls, SIEM, EDR, IDPS, and DLP concepts
Ability to work cross-functionally with other IT units on shared projects and initiatives
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the ability to create and edit spreadsheets in Excel and develop simple PowerPoint presentations
Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security Engineering or related field
