Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of program creation, including defining underwriting strategy, establishing carrier and distribution relationships, and executing go-to-market plans
Drive consistent, cross-cycle underwriting performance through disciplined risk selection, pricing rigor, and adaptability to market conditions
Build and manage a high-performing underwriting team, fostering strong broker and carrier partnerships and leveraging technology to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
10–20 years of Property & Casualty Insurance (P&C) underwriting experience in specialty lines, E&S, or program business, with a proven record of building and growing profitable portfolios (ideally in Energy, Environmental, Construction, Surety)
Demonstrated leadership experience and a strong distribution network with the ability to originate and sustain business flow
Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in a fast-moving environment; strong technical credibility, communication skills, and fluency with technology and data tools
