Scotsman Ice Systems is hiring a Field Support Technician for their Vernon Hills office. The role involves providing technical assistance and service support to distributors, dealers, and customers, while also functioning as a Field Service Representative when required.

Responsibilities

Provides technical support to customers by phone, text, chat and logs information for each call in database

Reviews and verifies labor warranty claims for processing

Supports National Accounts projects and follow up

Supports Consumer Products calls and determines action

Responds to routine correspondence request for service assistance

Identifies and reports potential emerging or major field service problems

Coordinates certain start ups, working between KES and service providers

Assists Installation Coordinator with Technical support, contacting providers, and processing invoices

Provides scheduled On-Call 24 X 7 Tech Line support

Analyzes data as requested to identify possible warranty cause or risk

Qualification

EPA Refrigerant Usage certificationAir Conditioning/Refrigeration EducationWindows based computer skillsMicrosoft Office ExcelCRMSMS proficiencyProfessional ImageCommunication skills

Required

EPA Refrigerant Usage certification, Type I & II

Minimum two-year Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Education Certificate or equivalent work experience

Windows based computer skills

Microsoft Office proficient, especially Excel

Must be able to understand and use CRM, SMS and entering live customer information

Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week

Good communication and presentation skills
